Amber Monroe 

Amber Monroe was raised in the small town of Indian River, MI. After graduating from high school, she went to Douglas J. Aveda Institute in E. Lansing and earned her cosmetology license in 2005. She worked at a salon in Harbor Springs, MI for two years. Then she moved up to Anchorage, Alaska where she resided for 5 years pursuing her dream as a hairdresser. She continued her education and in 2010 she became a certified Aveda color educator. She traveled a lot for classes and then taught the Aveda color line to many salons in Alaska while continuing to work at Escape Salon and Spa as a hair stylist.

In April of 2012, Amber decided to move back home to Indian River, where most of her family resides and opened up her own salon with her cousin Jenny. Rootz Salon is a beautiful, chic little hair salon offering Aveda services and products.  Amber is dedicated to the beauty and fashion industry. She believes that doing hair is an art and every guest that walks into her salon should leave feeling beautiful.
